Cannon Mountain

The weekend after we got back from San Fransisco we realized the peak foliage in the White Mountains was nearing.  So we hoped in the car and two hours and one speeding ticket later we were surrounded by the beautiful fall colors.  We decided to take a ride up to the top of Cannon Mountain on the tram which operates in the summer and fall for sightseeing and in the winter for skiers.  While waiting in line we learned that it was snowing at the summit.

Fall Colors and Echo Lake as we begin our ascent.

You can make out the frost on the trees as we climb.

The tram has taken us to a winter wonderland in October.

Burr.... David can only bear the cold for a few minutes. 4,100 f (1,250 m)
